WHY FOOD PANTRIES MATTERS...?? Needs are everywhere...About 795 million people worldwide face hunger, according to the World Food Programme one in nine people on earth. And hunger knows no borders, with serious challenges in high and low income nations alike. In India, one in six people go hungry; in the United States; it’s about one in eight, including one in six children. There’s enough food but much of it goes unused... Hunger is often not a food problem; it’s a logistics problem. Approximately 15-30% of food in emerging economies is wasted. Each year billions of pounds of food go to waste, while 1 in 4 people are malnourished. Food banking or food Food pantries systems capture surplus food and deliver it to the people who need it most, engaging all sectors of society (governments, business, and civil) in the process. Food pantries acquire donated food, much of which would otherwise be wasted, from farms, manufacturers, distributors, retail stores, consumers, and other sources, making it available to those in need through an established network of community agencies. Food pantries also with efficient supply chain management capabilities and a strong network of partners can supplement government programs to efficiently deliver food to the most needy and unreached. THE GOALS BEYOND THE FOOD... This commitment will surely bring about not only sporadic giving, but long term giving and involvement in innovative solutions to different social problems like the food insecurity or malnutrition .Also the Food pantries have a presence in the community that provides much more than food. With our volunteers and our partner organizations, we try to bring hope to all those people who are desperate facing the social injustice or lower incomes also those who are in need of hope and compassion. Through this Ministry our food pantry provides different programs like: Hot meals, kids program, Nurse assistant, health classes, prayers section and a good relationship with them. Through this programs they can feel our respect for their situation and also they can see the the image of the God’s compassion caring about them. STATEMENT The Bread of Life Ministry currently are serving around 200 families weekly with: fruits, vegetables, meats, breads, dairies and more. Around 3.000 pounds of food are donated from our partner organizations for our pantry and community, also we shared with another 2 Churches around the area that is a extension of this program. Every other week we are donating for the veterans shelters and for homeless programs. Through this Ministry more than 40 people have been approached asking for more Knowledge about Jesus love, Bible studies and baptized. CHRISTMAS DINNER DECEMBER 13 of 2018 For the 4th year the Bread of life Ministry is pleased to invite our community for a delicious free Christmas dinner ..... this program is totally dedicated for those who are in need not only of food but who will be lonely for this Christmas . will be having fun times with many surprises.this is a wonderful opportunity for you inviting a family that you know are in this condition...We would like to invite you to come together to enjoy this beautiful moment with a visit. TOYS DRIVE ....!! ...Every year the Bread of Life Ministry prepare a delicious Christmas dinner for over 150 families in need ....we believe that every family deserves to have a joyful holiday season. For this year we hopefully to serve 200 hundred families with a good basket of food and Toys for their Kids . You can help this Ministry serving these families bringing a new toys for boy/girls (0 to 15 years old) . We will be collecting till December, 05. Also we are accepting donations of: wrapping paper, tapes and no perishable food for their baskets. Do you know what is Food Insecurity? ...In 2016, an estimated 1 in 8 Americans were food insecure, equating to 42 million Americans including 13 million children. The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) defines food insecurity as a lack of consistent access to enough food for an active, healthy life. It is important to know that hunger and food insecurity are closely related, but distinct, concepts. Hunger refers to a personal, physical sensation of discomfort, while food insecurity refers to a lack of available financial resources for food at the level of the household. Poverty and food insecurity in the United States are closely related. Not all people living below the poverty line experience food insecurity, and people living above the poverty line can experience food insecurity. Wages and other critical household expenses (such as caring for an ill child) can also help predict food insecurity among people living in the United States.(feeding America informations) The Bread of Life Ministry team are working very hard every single day to put these statistics dawn...our team are compromised to serve our community with a free baskets of food for each family with a portion of : fruits vegetables, meats ,dairies and breads every week. Doing this constantly we are fighting against the malnutrition also providing the welfare of hundreds families that are suffering with the food insecurity in our community. Ani many people are praying and will keep on praying for you ! I just want to thank you for your ministry to me and others who are hurting and showing us how to Love God the way he loves us unconditionally!!! My last song I promised to send earlier. Never new this song love it now. There's a go fund me page at J.P O'Connor on facebook so if you get blessed this Christmas maybe you can give a thank you offering to help Ani get her treatments finished there doing both regular and natural and some things cost out of pocket i'm sure. This video is of my Pastors wife Ani . She has full blown cancer . God has healed the brain part but now we need a miracle for the rest ! Even though she is so week she went up and did special music at our church . Satan tried to stop her from sharing her gift but Jesus gave her victory . Her faith is strong and I share this not to glorify her though I think she is amazing But to show the Love of God in action. Pray for her healing and if you wish to help with funds that would be awesome it cost a lot for her treatments . Hope you feel the faith and love Ani has for Jesus . I was there that day and I wanted to share with you all . I had to use my camera to take of my laptop so not as clear as I would like but the message was to important to not share . She sang one more song I will try to post later but please watch this and see and feel the Love of God through Ani.
